SPSS: Fixing SPSS 29 Issue on macOS Sonoma

Body

macOS Sonoma is the most recent version of the Mac operating system. The SPSS 29 software does not support this new OS in its current version. While this issue will be addressed in the next version of SPSS, IBM did release a patch to resolve the issue on the current version. If you have updated to Sonoma and need to use the SPSS software, you will need to install this package here: SPSS Patch Files.

To run the installer, you will need to make sure SPSS is not currently running. Right click on the package and select "Open" to bring up the installer. It will warn you that it cannot verify the developer but it is still safe to open. Then simply follow the prompts to complete the install.

Reminder: This is only necessary if you have SPSS installed on a Mac computer running macOS Sonoma. You do not need to run this patch if you have not yet updated to Sonoma.
