Adding a custom image to your Canvas course card is a simple way to personalize your course and help students easily identify it on their dashboard. A well-chosen image can reflect the theme or subject of your course, making it more visually engaging and easier to distinguish from others. This article will guide you through the steps to upload and set an image for your course card in Canvas.
Begin by navigating to your Canvas Dashboard.
1. Click on the course you wish to set a course image for.
2. Click on "Settings" in the left hand side navigation.
3. Click on "Choose Image" found on the main Course Details tab.
4. Upload an image by clicking and selecting a file from your computer manually or dragging and dropping an image into the dashed area.
5. To confirm what the image will appear as, look to the uploaded image:
If you want to change or remove the image, click on the vertical dots:
6. Click on "Update Course Details" to save.
7. Navigate back to your dashboard to confirm your selection. Your students will see this image on their dashboards if they are enrolled in the course.
