Knightline Proxy Access for SNC Students

Body

This article will guide you through the process of setting up proxy access with step-by-step instructions and provide answers to frequently asked questions (FAQs) to help you navigate common concerns or issues.

Note: Available once a student is registered for classes.

What is proxy access?

Proxy access at St. Norbert College allows a student to give someone they trust—like a parent, guardian, or another individual—permission to view specific confidential information, such as billing statements, financial aid awards, and grades.

Students can also set up a passphrase for their proxy. This passphrase allows the proxy to speak with college staff about the records they’ve been given access to and helps verify their identity during those conversations.

Keep in mind: Proxies can only see the information the student has specifically chosen to share with them.

Any registered student has the ability to set up a proxy in KnightLine.

Why can’t I use the same email address for my mom and dad or other proxies?

The unique identifier for the proxy in KnightLine Proxy is the email address. Each email address can only be associated with one proxy.

What if my proxy wants a new email address other than the one already established?

If a current proxy wishes to use a new email address, they can update it themselves. Please refer them to the documentation for proxies for instructions on how to make this change.

There are two ways to do this,

  1. Go to Proxy Management, select the pencil for the proxy having the issue and select Reset Password
  2. Ask your proxy to select Forgot Password on the Proxy Access Login page.

This will immediately send an email to the proxy with the login instructions and temporary password. An email will also be sent to your SNC email address.

There are two ways to do this,

  1. Go to Proxy Management and select the garbage can (delete) button
