Sheets provide the interface to view and enter data in the model. They are akin to the concept of tabs within an Excel file. Tuition is a user-assigned sheet; therefore, only users assigned by System Administrators may access and edit this sheet.
Tuition by Term
-
The purpose of this sheet is to provide users the ability to plan tuition revenue by academic year.
-
Sheet type: Cube
- Used for entering “multi-dimensional” data on a single sheet, usually across multiple accounts. Cube sheets reduce the number of sheets used within the model and allow for fast import across multiple dimensions if necessary.
Sheet Design

-
Detailed tuition planning is entered in the cube sheet. Time is represented in the columns by month.
-
Account By Time is represented in the rows.
-
Planners will see Actual historical data in green.
-
The Point-of-View for tuition planning allows for user selection on Levels and Funds.
Version Selector
Versions fall into two categories within Workday Planning: Actuals and Working Budget.
- Actuals contain historical financial data.
-
To access the different Tuition Sheet Versions, select the drop-down Versions list in the upper-right hand corner of the sheet.
Point-of-View Selector

-
The sheet setup allows users to select data by level and fund.
-
Level: Organization
- Unlike standard sheets, levels in cube sheets are a dimension to use as selectors, columns, or rows rather than a drop-down selection.
-
To access selectors, select any of the drop-down menus where you will find trees for the respective dimension, attribute, or level you wish to find.

- To access your data cross-section, filter the sheet using the specific Level and Fund you are responsible for.
-
You may also change selectors by selecting “change dimensions” in the sheet’s toolbar.

-
Here, you may also add dimensions to rows for additional detail.
