Sheets provide the interface to view and enter data in the model. They are akin to the concept of tabs within an Excel file. Users with Standard or System Administrator access may edit data within a sheet while only users with System Administrator access may set up sheets.

Sheet Design
-
A Workday Planning delivered sheet, the income statement provides a summary of revenue and expense by Version and Level.
- Versions fall into two categories: Actuals and Plan.
- Actuals contain the historical financial data relevant to the model. Users can create multiple Actuals versions in a child-parent structure with child actual versions rolling up to a single parent actual version. Potential use cases for multiple Actuals versions would be committed vs. spent dollars on personnel compensation.
- Plan versions will be created by Administrators with the correct provisioning.
- Levels are the organization structures of Workday Planning. The level structure for SNC represents the Organization hierarchy. Every data point represents an intersection of levels, versions, and accounts. The level hierarchy determines how the account data rolls up or calculates at each level.
-
The full list of Income, Expense, and Non-Operating Income accounts are available as drop-down options in the Income Statement sheet’s rows.
