Ways to Login Using Okta SSO

For any application that is using Okta for Single Sign-On, there are three different options when it comes to signing in. These options are via the Okta Dashboard, URL, or Okta Browser plugin. No one way is the best, but rather we want you to use the method you feel most comfortable with.

No matter what way, you will always enter your SNC email and password. Depending on the application, you may be prompted with your second step of authenticating. The process appears as follows:

  3. Verify with 2SV. This example uses the method of push notification via the Okta Verify mobile app

Ways to Navigate to the Login Page

1. Okta Dashboard

Logging in at sso.snc.edu will give you access to all the applications that use Okta. Clicking an application from this dashboard will automatically log you in to that application

2. Direct via URL

This may be the way you are most familiar with. If you have an application bookmarked, such as Workday, you will still be able to log in that way. If you use the quick links on the CWIS page, you will still be able to log in that way. The only difference will be how the login page looks after selecting the SSO option for signing in.

3. Okta Browser Plug-in

This is an additional feature that Okta provides for ease of switching between applications and staying signed in. For info on how to install this, refer to this article:
